Sunday 31st July 2011

I didn't think it was possible but I think the waves are actually smaller than yesterday, it is about 1/2 a foot from the E and the waves are having trouble even breaking. The wind is a light WNW and it is another pretty good looking day. Still a good beach day but not so much for surfing.

Saturday 30th July 2011

Swell is almost non existent this morning with a 1ft ESE swell accompanied by a light W wind. Another gorgeous day and this will be the main reason for getting wet today, best options again is the fish or the mal or even the sup.

Friday 29th July 2011

A really nice looking morning with waves around the 2ft mark with the odd 3ft set from the SE. The wind is a light W making it nice and clean. Plenty of lines of swell but just NO size or power, fish or longboard would be the best options if you are keen enough.

Thursday 28th jult 2011

Still plenty of lines of swell coming through but only at around the 2-3ft mark from the SE. The wind is out of the W making it really clean, the waves still have some really nice shape but just lacking a little push. partly cloudy today and a little chilly but probably still worth getting wet.

wednesday 27th July 2011

Swell is still hanging in the 3ft range out of the SE, the wind has a bit more S in it and is out of the SW with a fair bit of cloud built up to the S it likely to swing more S throughout the day. The waves are fairly clean but are a little crumbly and seem to be lacking a little push, really overcast today and pretty much only for the really keen.

Tueday 26th July 2011

The swell has dropped a fair bit to around the 3ft mark from the ESE. The wind is a light W with pretty clear skys. There are still some nice lines coming through and have some really nice shape but it is a little inconsistent and a lot smaller than what we have become used to still worth a paddle though.

Monday 25th July 2011

Still some nice lines of swell coming through this morning in the 6ft range from the E. The wind is really light out of the W. Some great looking waves this morning and a lot more user friendly then the last few days, there are really consistent sets coming in and should be a great day of surfing. The weather is pretty overcast and lets hope the wind holds off.

Sunday, July 24, 2011

Sunday 24th July 2011

Swell is still up around the 6ft+ range from the ESE. The wind is pretty light from the WSW making it fairly clean. The waves still have a bit of a lump through them but the size has settled down a little bit to make it slightly more user friendly. In saying there are still some solid sets coming through and maybe a bit of searching to do today. Much nicer day with plenty of blue sky so much easier to get motivated to get wet.

Saturday 23rd July 2011

Swell is still really big at around the 8-10ft mark and still quite straight out of the ESE. The wind is not too strong and is out of the SW, making it pretty clean but the size of the swell is making it look a little stormy. Might be pretty hard to find a spot handling today and may be a little hard to hide from the wind if it swings more to the S. A few showers around today also.

Friday 22nd July 2011

'MASSIVE' is the best way to describe today, 10ft+ this morning, the swell has straightened a little and is out of the ESE. The wind is actually pretty light out of the SW making it fairly clean, but the size is making it look a little messy. Will be hard to find a spot handling today and only for the VERY experienced, a lot of water moving. Sorry no pics this morning.

Thursday 21st july 2011

The strong S winds have whipped up the swell some more to be 6ft+ range from the SE. the wind is out of the SSW this morning, but even the little bit of W in the wind is still not helping as it is still really messy. Again a few showers around today and really nowhere to hide from this wind.

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Wednesday 20th July 2011

Swell is back, whipped up by a pretty strong Southerly wind, it is around the 5-6ft mark from the SE but really messy. Nowhere to really hide from the wind today and only for the really really keen. Looking like a few showers around also.

Tuesday 19th July 2011

Nice and clean again this morning with a light WSW wind, the waves have dropped a little more to be around the 2ft mark from the ESE. Again the waves have some really good shape but just a little small. Partly cloudy day and cooler morning with a fair bit of clouds built up in the S.

Monday, July 18, 2011

Monday 18th July 2011

Ultra clean this morning with a light W wind and a small 2-3ft swell from the E. The waves are a little inconsistent but when they come through they have some really nice shape. A little hard to get motivated after what we have had over the last 2 weeks but none the less still a few little waves. Overcast again but not too cold.

Sunday, July 17, 2011

Sunday 17th July 2011

The waves have dropped a little from yesterday to be around the 4ft mark from the E, the wind is a really calm W making it nice and clean. With the swell straightening a little more it has made the waves a little lumpy and there are a few rips around the beach breaks, in saying that the waves still have some pretty good shape. Another really overcast day but not too cold and while there is still swell it is still worth a paddle.
