Thursday 31st March 2011

A howling SE wind is up early making conditions quite choppy and messy, it is accompanied by a small 2-3ft SE wind swell. There is nowhere to hide from this wind so could be a good rest day and hopefully this wind will keep blowing and pick up the swell for the rest of the day.

Wednesday 30th March 2011

Swell has dropped slightly again to be around the 2-3ft mark from the ENE, the wind is a light WNW making conditions quite clean and inviting. There seems to be small peaks all over the place so it shouldn't be too hard to find a nice little bank to yourself. Not a bad looking day either, so enjoy it while its here.

Tuesday 29th March 2011

Still some swell hanging around the 3-4ft mark from the E. The wind is pretty light from the NW. Even though the wind has some W in it it still looks a little messy, in saying that there are still some rideable waves out there, although the weather is not making it too inviting.

Monday 28th March

The swell has dropped again to be 2-3ft but has also cleaned up a little. Still average waves on offer this morning but still very surfable if your keen wind has a hint of West in it but want stay like that for long, rain periods again today.

Sun 27th March

Another wet morning swell has dropped to be 3ft of choppy swell. Best bet again those protected corners that still get some swell wind is SW but want stay that way for long. Again only really for the keen after the past week of waves.

Sat 26th March

Wet and stormy morning on the coasts beaches with a building south swell and early SW winds turning S best to get out early in those protected corners. The Central Coast Regional Titles are on today at Shelly Beach also don't forget to vote today! If you lucked into some of the waves on offer this week I would say you would be happy to have a day out of the water today.

Friday 25th March

Smaller and smaller by the day, but if we had this combo of swell and offshore winds this time last week it would be closer to a 7 rating. So we have 2-3ft of swell our of the east and crisp clean conditions. Another good morning for a swim with a late southerly change and more swell for tomorrow. Here are a few images of Wanga from the last few days I hope everyone got a few themselves all photos Grant Molony.

Thursday 24th March 2011

The trend has continued today with the still some great waves around, it has dropped slightly but it is still around the 4ft still from the ENE. The wind has stayed from the W so conditions really clean. Pretty similar shape to yesterday with some nice running lefts and some fun rights. Lots of lines coming through and another nice day so dont waste these opportunities.

Wednesday 23rd March 2011

WOW waves look really good this morning with the swell still around the 4-5ft mark from the ENE and the wind a light W. Hasn't been this good for a while and take your pick of the spots as everywhere will have a wave. There are some nice running lefts with also some good punchy rights. Dont waste anytime!

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Tuesday 22nd March 2011

Some great looking waves this morning with about a 4-5ft swell running from the ENE. The wind is really calm at the moment out of the WNW. Take your pick this morning as there are some great running lefts and the odd peaky right. Nice looking day with nice looking waves. Enjoy.

Monday 21st March 2011

Another rainy and windy start to the day, the wind has swung around to the ENE and the waves have followed to also be out of the ENE. As the wind is pretty straight there is nowhere to really hide, so if you know the spots that can handle the ENE wind and swell may be worth a look. The waves are around the 4ft mark so may give a few more options.

Sunday 20th March

Another Wet start to the day I think the best option would be a sunday sleep in and nice breakfast! Swell has straightened up a lot but is very messy. With yesterday seeing much better quality waves else where on the East Coast if you are keen maybe a good drive will be worthwhile. Otherwise finals day at Surfest to have a look at.

Sat 19th March

About the only nice thing down the beach this morning was the sunrise! The predicted swell is more a case of wind then anything with 2-3ft of slop on offer this morning. I suggest watching the top seeds in action at Surfest today to get your surfing fix.

Friday, March 18, 2011

Friday 18th March 2011

A pretty strong SE wind is up early this morning making conditions pretty bad and to make it worse the swell has decreased to be around the 2ft mark from the SE. If the wind continue to blows hopefully the predicted swell increase may turn up this arvo or early tomorrow. Very overcast day and not much happening at all.

Thursday, March 17, 2011

Thursday 17th March 2011

Southerly wind is up early and is all ready messing up the small 2-3ft ESE swell. The waves are looking very crumbly and seem to be lacking any power at all. There are some small lines of swell coming through but just no push and the wind is likely to swing more around to the E. Pretty overcast day also.

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

Wednesday 16th March 2011

Some great little peaks around this morning with great conditions. The wind is a light WNW and the waves are around the 3ft mark from the E. There seems to be peaks all over the beaches this morning, so it is just a matter of picking a bank and getting out there. Nice looking day also, so if the wind stays kind to us should be a great day of surfing.

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Tuesday 15th March 2011

The Southerly from yesterday has picked up the swell a little bit to be around the 3ft mark from the SE. The wind is currently from the SW, so the waves are fairly clean, but dont expect this to last too long as the wind swings more to the South. Pretty overcast day with lots of cloud building to the South, so if you are keen for a paddle best to hit it asap.

Monday, March 14, 2011

Monday 14th March 2011

Pretty similar conditions to yesterday with a small 1-2ft ENE swell accompanied by a light WNW wind. Conditions are quite clean and again fun little peaks around it is just pretty small and lacking some push. The day is looking really good and while we are having such good water temps it is still worth getting wet.

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Sunday 13th March 2011

Swell has dropped a little more to be around the 1-2ft mark from the ENE. The wind is up a little this morning but currently out of the NW so conditions are still relatively clean. Still some little peaks but they are lacking power so you will have to work for it this morning. Nice looking day in and out of the water.

Saturday, March 12, 2011

Saturday 12th March 2011

Pretty much a carbon copy of yesterday with the waves hanging in there around the 2-3ft mark from the E. The wind is also again dead calm and if anything still from the WNW. Also fun peaks all over the place and with still mild temps in and out of the water it should be a good fun day of surfing ahead.

Friday, March 11, 2011

Friday 11th March 2011

Some nice little waves this morning with a really slight increase in swell with it mostly 2ft with the odd 3ft set from the E. The wind is also really calm out of WNW and currently it is really glassy. There are fun little peaks all over the place and with really nice conditions it is definitely worth getting wet this morning. The only downwer is that it is a really overcast day and may even be a chance of rain.

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Thursday 10th March 2011

A nice mild start to the day with conditions similar to the last couple of days with a really light WNW wind, but the wave size has dropped to be only around 1-2ft fom the ENE. The water is still around the 22 degrees so this is the main reason for getting wet. Good day for the fish, longboard or sup.
