Tuesday 31st August 2010

Waves are very similar to yesterday and may have straightened up a little bit at around 2-3ft from the ESE. Wind is very light again out of the W making it really clean. Still worth getting wet.

Monday, August 30, 2010

Monday 30th August 2010

Swell has backed off a little to be around 2-3ft from the ESE. Waves are looking very bunched due to quite a small period swell. Wind is very light out of the W making it quite clean. Still worth a paddle, may just need the fish though.

Sunday 29th August 2010

Wind is very light this morning from the W, making conditions really clean. It has also allowed the swell to come in and hang around, currently it is about 3ft from the SE. Overcast day but quite mild temp so definitely worth getting wet today.

Saturday, August 28, 2010

Saturday 28th August 2010

Wind has backed off a fair bit since yesterday which has allowed a little bit of swell to come in. Currently it is about 2-3ft out of the SE. Mostly 2ft however some bigger sets in the Northern corners Wind is pretty light out of the WSW and if it stays pretty light today expect a slight increase in the swell...hopefully. Another nice day and definitely worth a paddle after what we have been getting.

Friday 27th August 2010

The ocean is doing a great impression of a lake today. Yep DEAD FLAT, mostly due to a howling WNW wind. NO pics this morning as there are NO waves. Swell is still predicted to pick up, depending if the wind backs off and allows it to come in. Rest day today. Very chilly also, snow should be pumping.

Thursday, August 26, 2010

Thursday 26th August 2010

Well pretty much dead flat this morning. Swell is about 1/2ft from the ESE. Wind is out of the WNW and seems to be getting stronger. Pretty much a write off today but hopefully a predicted swell may get here tomorrow or for the weekend.

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

Wednesday 25th August 2010

The little bump in the swell that turned up through the day yesterday has tried to stick around. Currently it is 1-2ft from the ESE with a light W wind. Another cracking day and always good to get wet on days like these.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Tuesday 24th August 2010

Good news is that the sunny weather is back, bad news is still NO waves. If possible it has got smaller to be about 1/2 ft from the SE. Wind is really calm again out of the W. Getting a bit depressing now, this run of NO waves has to end soon....hopefully.

Monday, August 23, 2010

Monday 23rd August 2010

Bit of a change in weather then the last few days, really overcast and even a bit of drizzle. The one thing that hasn't changed is that there is still NO swell. Currently it is about 1ft out of the SE. The wind is really calm this morning out of the W. Clean conditions but NO waves.....again.

Sunday, August 22, 2010

Sunday 22nd August 2010

Slight increase from yesterday but don't get too excited as waves are still only around the 2ft mak from the SE. There are a few more lines, but due to the small period swell they are quite bunched. Wind is light out of the WSW making it very clean. It is a perfect looking day and if you are really keen to get wet you should be able to find a little wave...not sure where though.

Saturday, August 21, 2010

Saturdat 21st August 2010

Bit of a groundhog day with the swell getting smaller if possible to about the 1ft mark from the SE. Wind is currently quite light out of the W. Maybe a small increase is predicted for this afternoon or tomorrow, depending if the wind will back off a bit. Fingers crossed.

Friday, August 20, 2010

Friday 20th August 2010

Another nice day with nice clean conditions just No swell. Currently it is about 2ft out of the E. Very very light W wind making it look inviting except for the fact there are no waves. If you are really desperate you may find a wave in those swell magnet areas.

Thursday, August 19, 2010

Thursday 19th August 2010

Very summer like conditions this morning with a small dribble y ENE swell around the 2ft mark. Wind is quite warmish out of the WNW. Waves are pretty clean but just no swell. Bit of cloud building to the North so don't expect conditions to last too long.

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

Wednesday 18th August 2010

Waves are still hanging in there today to be around the 3ft mark even slightly bigger in the Northern corners. Swell is out of the SE and the wind is a really light WSW making conditions very clean and very inviting. Another beautiful day and a good time to hit the waves.

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

Tuesday 17th August 2010

Swell back a little bit today at around the 2-3ft mark from the SE. The wind is from the SW making conditions pretty clean but waves are looking a little bunched, but after yesterday's waves it is definitely worth a paddle today.

Monday, August 16, 2010

Monday 16th August 2010

Not much happening today, waves are bout 1ft from the E. The wind is starting to get stronger out of the WNW. Hard to even find a wave to take a pic of this morning.

Sunday, August 15, 2010

Sunday 15th August 2010

As expected the swell has decreased considerably and is only about 2ft. The waves are currently out of the ESE but expect them to swing with the Northerly winds expected today. The wind is currently WNW but is predicted to swing more to the North throughout the day. The waves are also lacking power and look a bit dribble y. But if you are keen im sure there are waves around somewhere, will just need to search.

Saturday, August 14, 2010

Saturday 14th August 2010

Swell has backed off from yesterdays massive waves to be around the 4ft mark. They have also straightened up a little bit but are still from the SE. A lot more user friendly today. The waves are looking a little bunched but should sort themselves out through the day. Wind also seems to have swung but is really light out of the WNW. Some fun waves so don't hesitate.

Friday, August 13, 2010

Friday 13th August 2010

Swell is back. Currently the waves are around the 4-6ft mark and have changed direction to the ESE. Wind has also turned to the SW. The waves still need to clean themselves up a bit as it looks a little lumpy. Some quite solid sets coming through so some of the open beaches are not handling it too well, so find those nice protected spots for some fun waves.
