Swell has dropped considerably from yesterday with a clean 1-2ft swell from the SE still hanging around. Wind is still from the W and it very chilly out this morning.

Great conditions this morning with light W wind and a 3ft SE swell. Still nice and chilly but could not ask for much better conditions and looks like WEST winds ALL day. NO EXCUSES GET OUT THERE!

Sunday 27th June 2010
Nice swell increase this morning with 3ft SE swell with plenty of swell out to sea. Wind is currently SW but this doesn't look like it may last too long with it turning more to the South in the day. Should be good in the protected southern corners. Also get the wetsuits & beanies out this morning as it is quite chilly.

Very similar to yesterday. Light WNW wind with 2-3ft swell. Still great conditions and well worth a paddle. Banks at north end still have a big gutter running through them so south still the pick.

Thursday 24th June 2010
Much better conditions then the last few days. Small 2-3ft bumpy but clean swell with a light W wind. Banks are not looking that great north end but south seems to have a few ok banks. Light winds predicted for the day so GET OUT THERE.

Tuesday 22nd June 2010
Groundhog day down here at Shelly Beach.Overcast, chance of Rain.
The swell is still only around 2ft and the wind is still south.
The only difference from yesterday is that both the swell and wind have moved a touch more to the east with both coming from the SouthEast now.
Try southern corners for slightly better quality and Northern corners for slightly larger waves.

Hello again,
Sorry for the late report.
Not much happening again today down here at Shelly Beach.
The surf is 1-2ft of slop. you'll find slightly larger waves at North Shelly today but the wind is more into it up there. The swell is out of the south 4ft @ 7secs, which equates to this small 1-3ft wind swell. The wind is from the SSW 15 - 21 km/h at 11.25am.
The only thing worth looking at thismorning on the beach were a few Whales spotted off Shelly Beach at 10am!
Tomorrow's weather and wave predictions are very similar to today.
here's a few photo's from thismorning, double click to enlarge.
cheers, JA
