Thursday 12th August 2010

Well a bit of a let down after yesterdays waves and conditions. As you would expect the strong Westerly blowing ALL night has kept the waves out to sea, in saying that though there are still some 3ft sets coming through and still some lines of swell. As you already know the Westerly is still blowing quite hard, but if it lets up a little there should be some pretty good waves. Still worth a paddle and it is still quite CHILLY.

Wednesday 11th Augusr 2010

Still some swell hanging around this morning at around the 3ft mark still out of the ENE. The wind is very very light out of the WNW making conditions quite glassy. Some good running lefts down the North end and some nice smaller peaks down South. Still quite overcast and may be a chance of rain, but conditions making it definitely worth a paddle.

Tuesday 10th August 2010

Bit of drizzle this morning with the swell swinging around to the ENE at around 2-3ft. Conditions are very clean with a very light WNW wind. Pretty low period swell so waves look a little bunched but still worth a paddle.

Monday 9th August 2010

Another beautiful morning with the swell hanging in there to be around the 3ft mark out of the ESE. The wind is a very light WNW making conditions look very inviting. Waves ALL over the coast this morning so get out there!

Sunday 8th August 2010

Waves look much tidier this morning and have straighten up a bit to be out of the ESE and around the 3ft range. The wind has also improved to be currently a light WSW. Both North and South looking pretty good so don't hesitate while the conditions are pretty good.

Saturday 7th August 2010

Another CHILLY morning with the swell hanging around from yesterday to be around the 4ft mark from the SE. The wind is very cold and is currently out of the SW. Waves are looking ok but would be worth checking those protected southern corners. Bring the beanie and steamer.

Friday 6th August 2010

Small SE swell today accompanied by a SW wind. Waves are around the 2-3ft range with plenty of swell out to sea. Feels like the wind may turn more to the South today which may help to push some swell in and hopefully pick it up for the weekend. Another nice day but still quite a chilly morning.

Thursday 5th August 2010

Swell has dropped again to nice clean 2-3ft waves out of the East. The waves don't look like they have much punch but can't complain about the conditions with a light W wind. Pretty chilly this morning but a beautiful day. Enjoy it.

Wednesday 4th August 2010

Much better conditions then yesterday with the swell cleaning up to around 3-4ft from the SE. Maybe slightly bigger in the northern corners. The wind has also settled down to a nice light W. The waves still have a little bump in them but definitely worth the paddle after the conditions from yesterday.

Tuesday 3rd August 2010

Howling Southerly wind this morning which has picked the swell up to 6FT+. Pretty much unrideable at the moment as there is certainly NO where to hide from this strong wind. Swell is out of the South also. If conditions settle down may be possible to get a wave, certainly in the next couple of days depending on the WIND.
