Tuesday 31st July 2012

Waves have again picked up and are in the consistent 6ft range from the SE, it is actually cleaner than expected with a pretty light SW wind blowing, however there is a fair bit of cloud to the S, so the wind may pick up and swing sooner than later. The beach breaks are not handling the size and a bit of searching will have to be done today. A bit of cloud around today and a chance of a shower with pretty chilly winds.

Monday 30th July 2012

The swell has again picked up a little more to the 4-5ft mark from the SE, accompanied by a very chilly SW wind. There is plenty of swell out to sea, so it may start pushing in throughout the day, the beach breaks are handling the swell and the protected southern corners may be the best picks. Not a bad looking day but a pretty cold wind blowing.

Sunday, July 29, 2012

Sunday 29th July 2012

Waves have picked up slightly and are in the 2-3ft range out of the SE, joined by a light but chilly WSW wind. There are still plenty of lines of swell and the waves have some pretty nice shape when they come through, depending what the wind does could be a pretty good day of surfing. A pretty good looking day, just a little chilly with the wind.

Saturday, July 28, 2012

Saturday 28th July 2012

There are still plenty of lines of swell coming through, however it is only in the 2ft range from the ESE. it is still nice and clean with a light W wind and there are still some rideable waves but just a little wait for the good ones. Pretty good looking day but just a little chilly, probably still worth getting wet.

Friday, July 27, 2012

Friday 27th July 2012

Waves have dropped a little more and are currently in the 2ft range with the odd 3ft sets out of the ESE. The wind is a light but chilly W, making conditions nice and clean, there are some nice lines coming through with some nice shape but just lacking a little push with the size. Pretty good looking and still worth getting wet.

Thursday, July 26, 2012

Thursday 26th July 2012

Waves have dropped a little more and are in the 3ft range from the ESE, still it is pretty clean with a light WSW wind. Still some fun waves with again a few running lefts and the odd right, should not be a problem to find a little wave today. A partly cloudy day with pretty mild temps.

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

Wednesday 25th July 2012

The weather and waves have cleaned themselves up with a nice looking day and waves in the 4ft range out of the ESE, the swell is looking a lot more organised and there are some nice lines coming through, with running lefts and the odd right. If there is anything to complain about is that the waves look a little bunched but this is the best conditions and waves we have had in a while, so don't hesitate and get out there.

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Tuesday 24th July 2012

Waves have cleaned up a bit this morning and are looking a little more organised, the swell is still hanging around the 4-6ft mark from the ESE, and while it is looking pretty clean with a SW wind it still looks a little stormy. Much better chance of finding a wave today and it is just a matter of braving the cold conditions with still a little rain around.

Monday, July 23, 2012

Monday 23rd July 2012

ESE wind and swell this morning making conditions pretty ugly, waves are still in the 4-5ft range but not too many rideable ones coming through, just nowhere to hide from this wind. Still looking like a few showers around today and not much happening on the surf side of things.

Sunday, July 22, 2012

Sunday 22nd July 2012

The rain and swell is still hanging around with the waves still in the 4-6ft range from the ESE and still quite messy with a moderate S wind blowing. A bit of searching is still in order with the protected southern corners still the best bet. only for the really keen with the messy swell and rain making it hard to get keen.

Saturday, July 21, 2012

Saturday 21st July 2012

Waves have picked up a little more to around the 4-6ft range from the ESE, joined by a moderate S wind. The beach breaks are having a little trouble handling the size and the wind with the protected southern corners the best options, the wind is also making it a little messy. Not the best looking day with a shower or two hanging around.

Friday, July 20, 2012

Friday 20th July 2012

Waves have picked up a little to around the 3-4ft mark from the ESE, joined by a nice chilly SW wind. There seems to be a bit of a mix of swells with the waves looking a little unorganised but some nice peaks still coming through and they should sort themselves out as the day goes on. Pretty good looking day and worth getting wet if you can handle the chilly conditions.

Monday, July 2, 2012

Monday 2nd July 2012

Waves have dropped a lot and it is lucky to be in the 1-2ft range mainly out of the E, there is a really light W, so conditions are nice and clean. There seems to be a mix of swells this morning and with the higher tide the waves are having trouble breaking until they get to the shore, pretty good looking day just not too much going on with the waves, maybe a lower tide will help things out.

Sunday, July 1, 2012

Sunday 1st July 2012

Waves are still in the 3ft range out of the ENE, joined by a light W wind. Again the waves have some really nice shape and the banks seem to be making a comeback, the only downer is it seems a little inconsistent and a bit of a wait for the sets, but worth it when they come. A pretty overcast day but not too chilly and definitely worth getting wet.
